March 17 garden

Apparently this newspaper blew out of the recycling bin and into the garden. Is someone trying to tell me something?

Carla,
Those bloodroots are awesome. We have a few wild ones in our woods, lucky to find them in bloom. I did see two of them in Duke Gardens.

I dug them at a plant rescue site and transplanted them to our small urban yard. You have woods--I'm jealous! I noticed later today that the flowers had closed. I don't think I realized (or remembered) they did that.
