Too cute. It's a really sad story though.
Yes, it is sad. I wanted to include the link for photo credit but also to make sure no one thought these bats were being made into pets.
I don't know that much about fruit bats, but like the one spokesperson said, it doesn't seem like the mothers would abandon them unless they couldn't care for them.
They are seriously cute.
